Our Mission

The Erica Madeline Iantorno Anorexic & Bulimic Freedom Foundation (IABFF) is a family founded, non-profit organization committed to raising awareness of the growing prevalence and dangers of anorexia and bulimia; to actively investing on R&D to try to define primarily the causes for these eating disorders and a cure for victims with severe cases; and to providing resources for support for persons suffering from these eating disorders and for their families and friends.

IABFF was founded by a loving and caring family that after many years of hope and arduous efforts to save our precious Erica Madeline from the fatal dangers of Anorexia, we lost her on September 7, 2010 due to a heart attack. She was a strong and brilliant young lady who knew that recovery from these disorders is possible, especially when detected in early stages. She also knew that modern medicine could save the life of many patients who are experiencing similar clinical cases as hers.

There is so much to be done and Erica’s journey and love for life is our inspiration to help others. Erica wanted to be the voice of comfort and hope to others with this life threatening illness. We are committed to eradicate this disease and will not stop fighting until we find a cure.

IABFF is in its early stages of strategic planning, but wish to ramp up our research and outreach efforts to the medical and educational community.
